Just to quickly let you know, I safely made it to Singapore!
Singapore Airlines is amazingly great! I've never had this kind of service with an airline before: hot minced towels for everyone to freshen up before take-off; all drinks for free (and I'm not talking about soft drings here); great food served on large trays, instead of the usual stamp-size ones; choise of 25 movies, video games and more tv channels ... almost like a flying free video store.
After dinner and some rest on the plane I watched the sun rise right over Afghanistan. It was kinda strange to look down on the mountain range south of Kabul after all that we've been seeing on the news. But to be honest, at that time I cared more about the beautiful sky.

After landing I walked over to the baggage claim, to which I only got at the expense of overly transpiration, because of the heat and humidity. But when I stepped outside to grab a taxi cab, I had to notice that the baggage claim was actually air-conditioned. Well, so much about the weather.

So, now I've been here for some 3 days and so far I really like it!
