Man

This photo friday challenge urgently reminded me to start taking more "vivid" pictures. Leaving aside my personal collection of family photography, here is one of my very few pictures that could possibly go by the title "Man". Yet, it is a large advertisement I found in Rome last year.... not exactly vivid, right?

This is a great shot: I love the composition and it's beautifully lit. What really makes the image for me though is the row of lights that extend from the building of the left - they really knit the two halves of the image together.

I would describe this photo as vivid. The composition is very sharp, the lines are very appealing to the eye. The contrast between the black and white photo and the colour of the sky really works.. Overall: beautiful! (:
